Purpose

Organized in 1946, The Glenshaw Century Club has always been a vibrant and forward-moving woman's club. The object of the club is:

To provide for the advancement of education and improvement of young men and women by granting scholarships based on merit and need.

To promote the good and welfare of the aged, poor, or distressed.

To raise funds for such purposes.

Over $382,000 donated to scholarships

Over $146,000 donated to community service organizations

GLITZ AND GLAMOUR

330 women enjoyed the "Glitz and Glamour" Luncheon and Fashion Show at Wildwood Golf Club, Sample Road, Allison Park, PA, on Saturday, April 28, 2012

50-50 Raffle, 42 baskets, 88 Prize in A purse, 33 Door Prizes were all won by those attending.

Fashions were modeled by members, scholarship recipients, and granddaughters. Photo shows long-time member Denise Duve's granddaughters modeling lovely outfits.

Kane Hospital

Glenshaw Century Club sponsors The Banjo Club at Kane hospital twice a year. Our winter visit on February 7, 2012 was a huge success. The Banjo Club will return to Kane on May 1 at 1:30pm. All are welcome.

Care Bears

Glenshaw Century Club Ladies made over 1600 Care Bears so far this year that were given to local hospitals, emergency rooms, ambulance services and police stations. They are given to children who are ill or a child of an ill parent.

The next Care Bear Workshop is May 21 from 12:30 to 5 at Denise Duve's home.

Flower Power

Members are creating lovely floral arrangements for hospital patients. Flowers are donated by "Z Florists" and "Always in Bloom" florist. Ribbons and vases are donated by members. 15 to 20 arrangements are created each month.
